Copies can be found on the internet, but I'm not none are in condition this good. My hard copy isn't as good as the cleaned up digital version. One website names the individuals and describes the event:
"Allied generals lined up at ceremonies which made General Pétain a Marshal of France, at Metz on December 8, 1918. Left to right; Joffre, Foch, Haig, Pershing, Gillain of Belgium, Albricci of Italy, and Haller of Poland. Pétain stands in front. Behind, between Haig and Pershing is General Maxime Weygand, a figure also in the present World War." [http://net.lib.byu.edu/~rdh7/wwi/memoir/Ambco/officer5.html]
A video that looks like it's from the same event can be seen at http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=80572:
"Ceremony with military leaders and statesmen. French Premier Georges Clemenceau & President Raymond Poincare walk at head of procession, going past French soldiers standing several rows deep. Behind them come French generals including Henri Petain, Ferdinand Foch, Joseph Joffre, Weygandt and Gallieni, Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig, US army's General Pershing and an unidentified Italian officer. | A modern view of a house similar to the one the Bowes would have lived in before emigrating from Ireland. This house was still standing just down the road from the lot the Bowes rented. "Middling" farmers like our Michael rented 10-30 acres (Michael rented 26) and generally lived in one-story homes with mud walls and a thatched roof. This house is on a lot like Michael's, close to 30 acres, but is two-story. Michael probably had a one-story home since his was valued in Griffith's Valuation at 1.5 pounds, while the two-story shown here was valued at 2 pounds. But the difference could just as well have been in the condition, whether the roof was slate, whether the walls were stone or mud ... (The buildings in these two photos now house animals owned by the current homeowner, who has built another house on the property.) |

 | Donaghmore Parish Field Book - Description of Townland Finnan - Circa 1855 This indicates that "most if not all" farmers in Finnan were "at will" tenants. Many believe that meant they had no lease, could be made to leave at any time and had no recourse in disagreements with landlords, but I read in a fairly authoritative work on the Griffith's Valuation that "at will" tenants had fixed rents and annual leases and could not be made to leave at any time. The truth was probably somewhere in between. |

 | Griffith's Land Valuation Index Data for Michael Bowes and Edward Brophy, Finnan, Ireland, 1849-50 This document near perfectly establishes that our family resided on lot 14 in the townland of Finnan outside Ballyragget, Kilkenny, Ireland. Family history told that they were from Ballyragget and emigrated at various times during the famine. There were only 4 Michael Bowes entries in the Griffith's Land Valuation, and only one so close to Ballyragget.
Michael Bowes was said to have emigrated in 1853 after his children. The "Cancellation Book" from the mid-1850s, not shown here yet, shows that the neighbor, Edward Brophy, owned lot 14 by then. This transfer fits with Michael having emigrated just prior. Also, Michael had been married to a Brophy until she died during the famine, probably from disease which was prevalent at that time (not to mention a broken heart having watched all five children leave for America!). Additionally, Michael and Edward Brophy had both subleased another lot to a Sir John Power as "fox cover." |
